Showing Assistant
Written by Melissa Smith
We recently hired a newly licensed Showing Agent who helps with buyer showings and some light administrative duties. Since showings can come up sporadically and often with short notice, we're trying to find the right balance between availability and allowing for personal time.
For those with a similar role:
• How do you handle days off and vacation requests?
• Do you have set availability hours or on-call schedules?
• What expectations do you set around evenings and weekends?
• Do you use backup coverage when they're unavailable?
• How do you balance flexibility for the agent while still providing excellent client service?
I'd love to hear how other teams have structured this role and any lessons learned along the way. Thanks!
